  • The second highest HIV prevalence rate   in the world after sub-Saharan Africa.
  • HIV prevalence – 1.6%  (range 1.1% - 2.7%)
  • The leading cause of death among persons aged 15-44 years.
  • An estimated 300,000 persons living with HIV/AIDS
 

HOW YOU DONT GET HIV

 
  • By hugging, touching, living with or caring for someone with HIV/
  • By eating from the same plate, cup or utensils that an HIV positive person uses.
  • If the HIV positive person coughs, sneezes or even spits at you
  • From the air, food or water.
