This Agency functions as a regulatory body, dealing with the licensing of all public and commercial vehicles and the regulating and monitoring of public transportation throughout the island.

Functions of the Authority

The Authority regulates and monitors public passenger transport throughout the Island.  Additionally,  since July 8th 1987 the authority took over the functions previously performed by:

    (a)    Licensing Authorities
    (b)    The Public Passenger Transport (Corporate Area) Board of Control
    (c)    The Public Passenger Transport (Rural Area) Board of Control
