Ensure that:

(a) A globe bearing the word "TAXI" is on the roof of the vehicle

(b) The vehicle bears "RED PLATES"

(c) A current sticker issued by the Transport Authority is displayed on the windscreen. The sticker bears the name of the vehicle owner and the registration number of the vehicle.

(d) The word "TAXI" or "HACKNEY" is written on the outside of the front doors.

(e) The driver of the taxi is properly attired

(f) The driver of the TAXI is wearing a driver's badge on his shirt

(g) An Identification Card is issued by the Transport Authority is displayed on a conspicuous place in the vehicle. This identifies the driver.

(h) Take note of the registration number of the vehicle.

(i) Do not allow the driver to stop and pick up anyone else.

(j) Insist that the driver travel on the main road to your destination.

(k) Keep a watch on the driver and his behaviour.

(l) DO NOT encourage intimate conversation
