The Transport Authority Board, led by Joseph Shoucair, meets today for the first time and critical on the agenda is the nomination of persons to the Licensing Committee.

Director Of Public Relations and Communication at the Ministry of Transport and Mining, Vando Palmer, says since the change of administration and subsequent dissolving of the previous Board, public passenger vehicle owners have not been granted new road licenses.

Mr. Palmer explains that nomination of committee members, will now fast track the meeting of the committee to consider new applications for road licenses.  Currently there is backlog and the committee will be working to clear it in the shortest possible time.

Other members of the Board are Cecil Morgan, Joel Williams and Dennis Meadows, while the ex-officio members include Joan Wynter, Melanie Gilchrist EG Hunter, Donald Foster and a representative from the Police Force
