Raytheon Radar Project - Civil Aviation Authority This project involved the acquisition and installation
of three air traffic control radars to be sited at, The estimated time for the completion of the project was
August 2000 and cost was estimated at US$23M. With respect to Montego Bay/ Sangster Int'l Airport, Raytheon Canada participated in site surveys and selected a site at Norwood St. James, on a hill overlooking the Airport. The facilities were completed and handed over to the Civil
Aviation Authority as follows: These systems were all inter-linked through a Harris Microwave Systems as part of the contract. Having failed initial testing the microwave system was re-engineered and finally handed over on November 29, 2001. |
