Aircraft Passenger Boarding Bridges Projects

Six Passenger Boarding Bridges are to be constructed by the middle of 2002, in Phase 1-A of a US$28 million development plan at the Sangster International Airport.

The scope of work in phase 1-, which comprises the manufacture, installation and commissioning of 6 aircraft passenger boarding bridges in coordination with the activities of an operational airport project, is schedule to be completed within 345 calendar days, another 15 is expected to be installed over the next.

Tenders were invited from 3 pre-qualified contractors and were opened on June 20, 2001.  The project is currently on hold, as the prospective owners of the airport would like to have an input in the process.
