Project Objective
To foster long term economic diversification and growth in the tourism sector by improving road conditions.
 
Scope of Works
  • Construction of the Martha Brae River Bridge, the River Bueno Bridge; the Pear Tree River Bridge; Wakefield Interchange.
  • Re-construction and re-alignment of 4 Bypasses to the towns of Falmouth, Duncans, Rio Bueno and Coopers Pen
  • Overlay of 11km of existing roadway
  • Construction of two Underpasses to facilitate livestock movement on either side of the roadway
  • Construction of two vehicular Underpasses at Silver Sands Road in Duncans and Calabar main road in Rio Bueno
  • Construction of one golf cart and pedestrian Underpasses at Breezes, Runaway bay
  • Provision of over five right turn lanes at major intersections and entrances to enhance safety.
  • Provision of traffic lights at critical intersections to enhance safety
